ABOUT ME
ARTIST BIO DAVID COLLAÇO
David Collaço (born in 1989 in Florianópolis, Brazil) is an Italian-Brazilian photographer currently based in Paris. He began his journey in photography in 2008, initially working with events and gradually developing a deep interest in light, gesture, and human emotion.
Living and working between Brazil and the United States, David gained early recognition when one of his photographs was published in The Boston Globe. Despite this milestone, he realized he was searching for something more meaningful. Following his intuition, he set off on a bicycle journey from London to France — a turning point that reshaped both his life and artistic vision. Immersed in nature and movement, he refined his perspective and became deeply aware of the emotional impact photography can have on people.
“With my camera by my side, I follow my heart, living fully in the present moment and photographing everything I feel and see. In a split second, I feel free.”
Since then, David has been dedicated to his ongoing project Immortalizing Moments, transforming fleeting instants into images that speak of Freedom, Soul, and Edge. His work is guided by intuition, presence, and a contemplative approach to life, aiming to capture the invisible essence that makes each moment unique. Through his photography, he invites viewers to slow down, feel, and reconnect with the beauty of lived experience.
